During the summertime, spending time with the family, enjoying a nice BBQ, and listening/dancing to some great music is a must.

Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, and attending some of the greatest BBQs and block parties during the summertime, it was expected I would come across some good reggae music to dance to. This summer, one compilation you won’t want to miss having and that should be on constant rotation is The Biggest Reggae One-Drop Anthems 2011.

Biggest Reggae One Drop Anthems 2011The Biggest Reggae One-Drop Anthems 2011 is a highly anticipated compilation that hits stores this summer. Last year Vybz Kartel blessed us with his summertime hit “Clarks”, as well as did Gyptian with his hit “Hold Yuh” in the Reggae Gold 2010 album.  This year they are blessing us again as they both have made their way into The Biggest Reggae One-Drop Anthems for 2011 featuring their songs “Spend Time Dubb’n” by Vybz Kartel and “Where You Belong” by Gyptian.

My excitement for this compilation not only started when I heard those two songs, but as I jammed to some other amazing reggae artists which include hits like “Tempted To Touch” by Busy Signal, “How To Answa” by Midnite, “International Drama” by Alborosie ft. Guiseppe Tarantino and “Wha This Pon Me” by Romain Virgo, to name a few. This is when I knew this was an album worth purchasing.

The compilation not only includes the above mentioned artists and hits, but also other great reggae dynamites like: Gentleman, Tony Rebel, Bunny Lee, Queen Ifrica, I-Wayne, Gappy Ranks, Copper Cat and many more.

So no matter if you are young or old, this reggae compilation is a must have this summer. The Biggest Reggae One-Drop Anthems 2011 was released on July 12, 2011, so I suggest you head out and get your copy now, before they sell out.

Please note a copy of The Biggest Reggae One-Drop Anthems 2011 was provided for this review by VP Records.
